El Designer Summer Camp
Overview
Do you have a creative side but don’t know where to start? El Designer Summer
Camp is a fun, hands-on 5-day experience designed for high school students (ages
14–18) who want to explore the exciting world of design, branding, content creation, and
AI.
Hosted by the Applied Visual Communication Design (VCD) Department at Misr
International University (MIU), this camp takes students on the complete journey of
building a brand, from discovering an idea to designing a logo, creating a brand
personality, developing packaging, producing social media content, and presenting a final project.
Through interactive sessions, creative challenges, gamified activities, and professional
design tools, participants will gain practical experience while discovering how creativity can become a future career.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the camp, participants will be able to:
- Identify the fundamentals of branding and visual communication.
- Develop a unique brand concept and define its target audience and personality.
- Create a professional logo and visual identity using both hand sketching and
digital design tools. - Produce engaging social media content and short promotional videos.
- Use AI in the creative design process.
- Present a complete brand concept with confidence.
- Build a portfolio-ready project showcasing their creative skills.
You will receive a Certificate of Completion from the Applied Visual Communication
Design Department at MIU.
Who Should Attend
- High school students aged 14–18.
- Students interested in graphic design, branding, marketing, photography, content
creation, animation, or digital media. - Creative students who enjoy drawing, designing, creating content, or simply want
to explore a future in design.
No prior design or software experience required.
Camp Outline
| Day | Time | Format |
| Day 1 | Discovering Brands & Creating the Idea | Students explore the fundamentals of branding by discovering what makes successful brands memorable. Through design thinking, mood boards, and creative exercises, they develop a unique brand concept and define its personality and target audience. |
| Day 2 | Logo Design & Visual Identity | Participants learn the principles of logo design, color psychology, and typography before sketching and digitally creating a professional visual identity that reflects their brand's personality. |
| Day 3 | Brand Experience | Students bring their brands to life and learning how design shapes the customer experience. |
| Day 4 | Social Media Content Creator Day | Students discover how brands communicate online by producing engaging social media content, creating promotional reels, and exploring AI tools that support today's creative workflow. |
| Day 5 | Building the Brand Launch | The camp concludes with students preparing their portfolios, refining their presentation skills, and showcasing their completed brands in a final exhibition and pitch session at MIU. |

Fee: 3,000 EGP
