Applied Linguistics دبلجة (Dubbing) Camp
Workshop Overview
This intensive 5-day camp offers a dive into the world of audio-visual localization and
voice acting. Hosted by the Faculty of Applied Linguistics (Al-Alsun), the camp introduces
high school students (ages 14–18) to the art of دبلجة (dubbing) movie scenes, script
adaptation, and vocal performance.
Framed as a “secret agent” themed creative mission, the workshop seamlessly blends
professional language skills with cutting-edge technology. Participants will get hands-on
experience in recording booths and digital studios, learning how to sync voices, convey
emotion across languages, and use modern tools to bring characters to life.
Learning Outcomes
- Master the fundamentals of dubbing and voice acting.
- Explore AI-powered language technologies and digital storytelling.
- Learn cultural translation, video captioning, and content creation.
- Navigate communication challenges using Virtual Reality (VR).
- Develop teamwork and critical thinking through gamified problem-solving.

- Curious high school students (ages 14–18) who love languages, media, and tech.
- Requirements: No prior experience in AI or voice acting required.
