First Semester

| – Introduction to implant dentistry, history, types, terminology and instrumentation. |
| – Implant installation workshop |
| – Patient preparation (psychological & medication) , pre-treatment and intra-oral preparation. |
| – Radiographic analysis of implant site, and anatomical considerations in implant dentistry. |
| – Surgical & radiographic stents, ridge mapping |
| – Contra-indications for using dental implants, and patient selection criteria, medically compromised patients. |
| – Treatment planning , – Treatment planning sequence – Diagnostic wax up – How to benefit from radiographic stents – Preparation of surgical stent |
| – Infection control in Implant Dentistry |
| – Live Surgery presenting the steps of diagnostic wax up, radiographic stent, surgical stent and simple implant placement ( Demonstration ) |
| – Open discussion and revision |
| – 5 surgical operations |
| Topics Weeks 9 to 16 |
| – Introduction to Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR). |
| – Principles of soft tissue management and simple augmentation procedures and materials. |
| – Soft tissue, how to preserve the keratinized attached gingiva using surgical techniques ( Workshop, Live surgery ) |
| – Incision designs and suturing materials& techniques. |
| – Basics principles in oral and maxillofacial surgery. |
| – Soft tissue manipulation workshop on sheep heads. |
| – Implant installation Workshop. |
| – Photography for documentation of cases. |
| – Restoring 5 implant placement surgeries (Prosthetic procedures) |
Second Semester

| – Treatment planning, biomechanical principles in implant dentistry |
| – Prosthetic options in implant dentistry. |
| – Implantation and loading protocols |
| – Live Surgery immediate loading with an over denture (Demonstration) |
| – Immediate implantation in Esthetic Zone. – Live Surgery (Demonstration) |
| – Esthetics; implants in the esthetic zone. |
| – Mini dental implants & their uses – One piece implants & their uses. |
| – Provisional restorations – Progressive bone loading |
| – CAD-CAM technology in implant prosthodontics ,and uses of zirconium in implant prosthodontics |

| – Hard tissue management , preservation , augmentation and uses of bone blocks ( Demonstration ) |

Third Semester

| – Distraction ontogenesis , and the latest innovations in Guided Tissue Regeneration ( GTR ) |
| – The uses of piezo surgery , and piezo technology workshop |
| – Incorporation of dental implantology to the daily practice from a marketing and management perspective |
