New Curriculum – DNT
Faculty of Oral & Dental Medicine
New Curriculum
General Philosophy of the program:
- Our undergraduate dental program is innovative and constantly evolving, reflecting our vision of tomorrow’s leaders in oral health care who are socially aware, culturally sensitive, and community-oriented practitioners.
- The dental curriculum is designed to provide a systematic advancement of knowledge and skills through the acquisition of competencies essential for a general dentist to practice dentistry independently, safely, and effectively. In addition to receiving a solid foundation in the behavioral, clinical, and basic medical and dental sciences, students also gain intellectual, psychomotor, interpersonal, and communication skills. The curriculum promotes a student-centered learning environment where the students are encouraged to utilize communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills. Students begin their clinical experience as early as in their third year.
- Students are always updated with modern dental technology as well as information technology in order to provide the optimum dental care for the patients and to cope with the needs of the labor market.
