Educational Awareness Campaign at the MIU Dental Clinic Complex

As part of the oral public health curriculum for fifth-year students, an oral health educational session was organized on November 27, 2025. The event was held in cooperation with, and under the supervision of, the Vice Dean for Students’ Affairs and the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The event aimed to raise awareness about the misuse of antibiotics. The session was conducted by ten fifth-year dental students, who sought to educate parents—particularly those with children under the age of fourteen—about the serious health risks associated with improper antibiotic use. The activity was supervised by a lecturer from the Pedodontics and Public Health Department, along with the community service coordinator.
A large educational banner was displayed to visually explain the consequences of antibiotic misuse, including antibiotic resistance and potential complications resulting from unnecessary or incorrect antibiotic intake.
Throughout the session, parents showed great interest and actively interacted with the students by asking questions and engaging in meaningful discussions. Flyers were also distributed to reinforce the key messages and provide parents with clear, accessible information to take home. The awareness activity was conducted twice for the targeted parents at the DCC to ensure focused communication and effective delivery of information.

حملة توعوية وتعليمية في مجمع العيادات بكلية طب الفم والأسنان

في إطار تطبيق منهج الصحة العامة للفم لطلاب السنة الخامسة، تم تنظيم حملة توعية صحية حول سوء استخدام المضادات الحيوية في استراحة المرضى بمجمع الـعيادات يوم الخميس الموافق 27 نوفمبر 2025.

قام بتنظيم الفعالية وكيل الكلية لخدمة المجتمع والتنمية البيئية بالتعاون مع وكيل الكلية لشئون التعليم والطلاب وشعبة الصحة العامة بقسم طب أسنان الأطفال والصحة العامة والتقويم.

قام بالمشاركة عدد عشرة طلاب من الفرقة الخامسة تحت إشراف أعضاء هيئة التدريس قسم طب أسنان الأطفال والصحة العامة ولجنة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، وركزوا على توعية الأهالي (وخاصة أولياء الأمور ممن لديهم أطفال دون سن الرابعة عشرة) بالمخاطر الصحية الخطيرة المرتبطة بسوء استخدام المضادات الحيوية.

تم عرض لافتة تعليمية كبيرة لشرح العواقب الناتجة عن سوء استخدام المضادات الحيوية بشكل مرئي، بما في ذلك مقاومة المضادات الحيوية والمضاعفات التي قد تنتج عن تناولها بطريقة غير صحيحة أو دون حاجة.

وخلال الجلسة، أبدى الأهالي اهتمامًا كبيرًا وتفاعلوا بشكل إيجابي مع الطلاب، حيث طرحوا الأسئلة وشاركوا في مناقشات هادفة. كما تم توزيع مطويات لتعزيز الرسائل الأساسية وتقديم إرشادات واضحة وسهلة يمكنهم أخذها إلى المنزل.

وقد تم تنفيذ النشاط التوعوي مرتين للحاضرين لضمان إيصال المعلومات بفعالية وتحقيق تواصل أكثر تركيزًا مع الحضور.
