From Knowledge to Action: Empowering MIU Pharmacy Students to Combat Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)
1 Nov 2026
The Faculty of Pharmacy is proud to announce the participation of two of its Clinical Pharmacy students in the second edition of the Future Fighters Against Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) 2026 Summit and Capacity-Building Program.
The program was organized in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and ReAct Africa, within the framework of the One Health approach.
Selected to represent the Faculty of Pharmacy, MIU, the students took part in an intensive week of learning and collaboration. The program provided opportunities to engage with public health experts and AMR advocates from different countries; it strengthened their practical skills in antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial stewardship, the One Health approach, leadership, health advocacy, communication, and youth-led initiatives.
This participation reflects the Faculty of Pharmacy’s commitment to preparing future pharmacists who are equipped to engage with leading national and international health organizations and contribute meaningfully to public health challenges at both the local and global levels.
