Misr International University takes a significant stride towards advancing its engineering program on a global scale
7 Feb 2024As of the Fall 2024 semester, the Bachelor of Engineering program will undergo a transformative adjustment, shortening its duration from five years to four years. This innovative curriculum redesign empowers engineering students to fulfill their academic requirements and earn their degrees in just four years.
The new bylaw is based on the credit hour system, which requires the student to complete 144 credit hours (48 courses) for the attainment of a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, or Architecture Engineering.
These changes, proposed by the specialized academic committee and subsequently ratified by the esteemed Supreme Council of Universities, offer manifold benefits to our students. Hence, undergraduate engineering majors will graduate in a shorter period, facilitating a smoother transition into postgraduate studies.
Within the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, third-year students will have the opportunity to select from a range of specialized programs such as Communication Systems, Networks, and Smart Systems, according to specified conditions.
Likewise, students in the Department of Architecture will be exposed to cutting-edge developments in the field, with access to six distinct specialized tracks starting from their third year. These tracks include Computational Architecture, Environmental and Sustainable Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Real Estate Management, and Conservation of Architecture.
The enhancements introduced to our engineering curriculum promise to equip our students with the most current knowledge and skills in their respective fields, facilitating their progression into postgraduate studies with greater ease.
