Empowering Future Pharmacist: MIU prepares its Pharmacy students to the global prescribing skill assessment.

We are delighted to announce that our pharmacy students at Misr International University are about to start their practice sessions for the Prescribing Skills Assessment (PSA). This will be a major step in their preparation for the global pharmacy career practice, making them the first students in Egypt to accomplish this milestone.

The PSA, a valid and reliable test of prescribing competency delivered by the British Pharmacological Society (BPS) and modelled according to UK prescribing practices, is designed to evaluate healthcare professionals’ prescribing skills and knowledge prior to practice.

Our students will showcase their knowledge, critical thinking and abilities through this practice. They will also demonstrate their preparedness to deliver quality pharmaceutical care to patients through specific and realistic clinical scenarios.

This accomplishment marks a crucial step in our pursuit of continuous quality improvement. Serving as a new milestone following our ACPE international accreditation, these practice sessions bring our students one step closer to their goal of becoming proficient competent pharmacists regionally and globally.
