Field Visit to Dar El-Sadik

The Community Service and Environmental Development Committee at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine organized a field visit to Dar El-Sadik on Thursday, July 9, 2026, with the aim of promoting oral and dental health awareness among the residents and staff of the home.

Prior to the visit, a preparatory orientation session was conducted for the dental interns to train them on appropriate approaches for interacting with residents of care homes and selecting the most effective methods for delivering oral health education tailored to their needs.

The visit involved the participation of 14 dental interns, under the supervision of the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, two faculty members from removable prosthodontics department, one faculty member from oral medicine periodontics diagnosis  ,and a supervisor from the Dental Internship Training Office.

During the visit, interactive oral health education sessions were delivered to both the residents and the staff. The sessions focused on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene, proper toothbrushing techniques, daily oral care practices , and preventive measures against common oral diseases. Educational aids and interactive demonstrations were used to enhance understanding and engagement.

A total of 100 toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste were distributed to the residents and staff members. They were also invited to receive free dental examinations and treatment in all dental specialties at the University’s Dental Clinics Complex.

At the conclusion of the visit, satisfaction questionnaires were distributed to the care home supervisors to assess their needs and evaluate the visit. The results indicated a 100% satisfaction rate. A separate evaluation questionnaire was also completed by the participating dental interns, with the results likewise demonstrating a 100% satisfaction rate.

فعاليات الزيارة الميدانية لدار الصديق

نظّمت لجنة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بكلية طب الفم والأسنان زيارة ميدانية إلى دار الصديق يوم الخميس الموافق 09 يوليو 2026 تمت الزيارة بالتعاون مع الاتحاد العالمي لطب الفم و الاسنان (FDI) و الذى قام بتقديم لافتات و منشورات التوعية و كذلك عبوات معجون الاسنان و الفرشاة، وذلك بهدف التوعية بصحة الفم والأسنان للنزلاء والمشرفين بالدار.

وقبل الزيارة تم عمل ندوة توعوية لأطباء الامتياز لتوعيتهم بكيفية التعامل مع نزلاء الدور المختلفة واختيار الطريقة المناسبة لتوعيتهم بالاهتمام بصحة الفم والاسنان

شارك في الزيارة والندوة التوعوية أربعة عشر من طبيبات وأطباء الامتياز تحت اشراف السيد الأستاذ الدكتور وكيل الكلية لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة وعدد 2 عضو هيئة تدريس من قسم الاستعاضة الصناعية و عدد عضو من قسم طب الفم وامراض اللثة والتشخيص والاشعة بالإضافة الي مشرف اداري من إدارة تدريب الامتياز.

تم توجيه الدعوة لتلقي العلاج المجاني في جميع تخصصات طب الاسنان بمجمع عيادات الكلية كما تم تقديم جلسات توعوية تفاعلية لنزلاء الدار والمشرفين حول كيفية الحفاظ على صحة الفم والأسنان باستخدام وسائل توضيحية وعروض تفاعلية تناولت الطرق الصحيحة لتنظيف الأسنان وأهمية العناية اليومية وسبل الوقاية من المشكلات الصحية الشائعة، كما تم توزيع عدد 100 فرشاة ومعجون أسنان على النزلاء والمشرفات،

وفي ختام الزيارة تم توزيع استبيانات الرضا على مشرفات الدار لتحديد احتياجاتهم الصحية وتقييم الزيارة، وقد أظهرت النتائج رضاهم التام بنسبة 100%. كما تم توزيع استبيان آخر على أطباء الامتياز المشاركين في الزيارة وبلغت نسبة الرضا 100%..
