Degree Structure
Upon completion of the five-year program, an electronics and communications graduate
will have passed by the following sequence:
Year One
This is the basic and general year in which freshman students are offered introductory
courses like Math, Computer Programming, Physics, Chemistry and Production Technology.
Year Two
Sophomore students’ courses focus mainly on the basic electrical and electronics
courses such as Electrical circuits, Electronics and Electromagnetic waves. These
courses teach them how to design and implement electrical and electronic circuits.
Also, they are offered other basic engineering courses such as Mechanical & Civil
Engineering.
Year Three
Junior students will get more acquainted with their major by studying Signals Analysis,
Digital Electronics and Computer Organization courses. These courses cover a wide
range of different topics that increase the skills and understandings of a communications
student.
Year Four
Fourth year students are given more specialized subjects in the different engineering
branches. These courses help them decide which field they would be more interested
in. Among these subjects are Analog & Digital Communications, Networks and Television
Engineering.
Year Five
Senior students study advanced communications courses including Antennas, Information
Theory, Optics and Microwaves as well as do a graduation project in which they apply
the knowledge gained throughout the years of study to real life applications.
