ABSENCE

A student must continue attending in the section he is registered in; if he/she attends in another section, he/she will be considered absent even if the two sections are taught by the same Instructor.

In case a student exceeds 25% of his/her absence he/she will not be permitted to attend exams and will receive a “WU” in the not permitted course(s) or an “F’ if the course is English. A list of not permitted students is issued monthly throughout the semester and posted at the university campus and sent via e-mail. The student must check it periodically as it is considered one of his/her responsibilities

If absence is caused by proven illness or emergency, the university physician must be informed on the same day of illness and no medical reports will be accepted unless approved by the university physician.

A student who doesn’t settle his/her financial obligations will be considered absent till the payment transaction takes place. Absence is counted starting the first day of classes and students with unsettled financial problems are not registered on class lists until they settle them.
