Student Academic Load
The average academic load for a regular student in an academic semester ranges from 4-5 courses or 12-18 hours per week in addition to an intensive English course. The summer semester average academic load ranges from 1-2 courses.
Academic Supervision Rules
Students who fail to maintain a GPA of 2.00 will be placed on academic probation and will be restricted to a load of 12 credit hours or 4 courses per semester.
The probationary period provides students with an opportunity to fix their GPA. This period may last for no more than three regular semesters. If students fail to achieve the required grade average by the end of the probationary period, they will be expelled.
MIU student’s guide is available on the website that may be beneficial to you during your study years, so please read carefully.
Advising Problems
- If students do not show up during the advising period, their schedules are “done by advisor”; therefore, they are not allowed to drop or add any course.
- Students must check their e-mail regularly to be well aware of all steps related to schedules & advising.
