Bylaws for Students enrolled 2016 to 2021

The Faculty of Al-Alsun offers a four- year program (8 semesters) leading to a Bachelor’s Degree in English.
Total Credit Hours = 131 credit hours equivalent to 40 courses

  • University Requirements = 18 credit hours equivalent to 6 courses.

    1. 12 credit hours equivalent to 4 required courses

    2. 6 credit hours equivalent to 2 elective courses



  • Faculty Requirements courses = 18 credit hours equivalent to 6 courses

    1. 6 credit hours equivalent to 2 required courses

    2. 3 credit hours equivalent to 1 elective course


    3. 9 credit hours equivalent to 3 Second Language courses

  • Department Requirements = 11 credit hours equivalent to 3 courses

  • Major Requirements = 69 credit hours equivalent to 20 courses (15 required courses & 5 elective courses)

    1. Nineteen Credit Hours of Language and Linguistics courses (6 courses)

    2. Eighteen Credit Hours of Literature courses (6 courses)

    3. Twenty- seven Credit Hours of Translation courses (7 courses)

    4. Five Credit Hours of ENG450 Graduation Project (1 course)

  • Minor = 15 credit hours equivalent to 5 courses
