As a former TV director in Los Angles, and an instructor of Media Production at James Madison University, Dr. Greene was a guest lecturer for two weeks (Oct. 23rd - Nov 3rd) in Directing and Script Writing classes of the Faculty of Mass Communication.
In Script Writing classes, students practiced writing stories, watched scenes from films and applied the techniques they learned to what they saw. In Directing classes, students were introduced to production design, using light and shadow. They also learned the significance of details in camera composition. Dr. Greene used various aids that helped students grasp what he meant to deliver and made his classes very interesting and engaging to students.
Dr. Greene also met with Mass Communication staff and presented a critical overview of curriculum development, focusing on team work and practical production of assignments in all courses.
