Study Abroad/Student Exchange Programs (IOP01)

These are well-established programs designed for undergraduate students who wish to travel abroad and study in internationally-recognized universities. These programs have a flexible study period for students who wish to study for a semester or a year. Study Abroad and Student Exchange Programs enable the student to benefit from the opportunity of living for a few months in a different culture. Students refine their language and communication skills, enrich their resumes and above all make new friends from different backgrounds. The lessons learned from this experience are beyond any lessons learned in a classroom.
104 exchange students studied at MIU
102 students studied abroad.

Double Degree/Joint Degree Programs (IOP02)

MIU offers its students the opportunity to graduate with a foreign degree in addition to that of MIU or a joint degree during the same study period. These programs require that students enroll in them in their first year at MIU and spend one or two years in an affiliated university in order to be able to plan ahead for their progress and receive the degree.

Academic Advice/Curriculum Development Programs (IOP03)

MIU realizes the need to adapt its curricula and academic methodologies to the fast-paced global community. Aiming at gaining international accreditation, MIU sought the advice and guidance of well-established international universities in order to facilitate the achievement of this objective. Committees from partner universities thoroughly evaluate MIU curricula. Course outlines, textbooks, and other instructional material are thoroughly assessed. Class visits are also made. Based on this evaluation, recommendations are given on how to develop the curricula.

Faculty Exchange/Visiting Professors Programs (IOP04)

These programs provide opportunities for interaction and exchange of knowledge and academic information among faculty members of different institutions. This enriches the educational experience of MIU students by exposing them to professors from different cultural and academic backgrounds without having to travel.

Intensive Language Summer Courses/Specialized Summer School Courses (IOP05)

MIU students are given the opportunity to travel abroad during the summer in order to join an intensive foreign language course or a specialized course in their field of study offered by MIU’s partner universities. This program enables MIU students to develop their skills while exploring new lands and interacting with other cultures.
170 students joined the summer language courses abroad

Joint Workshops (IOP06)

Interaction among students is a practical means of learning. The joint workshops provide MIU students with the opportunity to interact with their counterparts from partner universities. This enriches the educational experience of the students.

Staff Advancement Program (IOP07): Training Sessions

Training sessions delivered by visiting professors from partner universities are held on a regular basis at MIU.

Conferences & Seminars

Several seminars and public lectures are organized for the country at large for professionals, faculty and students in different fields including pharmacy, business administration and dentistry. Conferences are held regularly to allow MIU staff and the community to share the knowledge and benefit from the exposure to different methodologies.
